We have been looking forward to this screening for more than two years now! Originally planned as an in-person event on the University of Southern Indiana campus in Evansville ID, our Indiana premiere had been on hold since March 2020 due to COVID restrictions. We’ve decided to move forward with a virtual screening + Zoom Q&A, which has the advantage of welcoming audience members from anywhere in the world.

Established in 1976, the USI Center for Communal Studies promotes the study of contemporary and historic communal groups, intentional communities and utopias. The Center’s collections include primary and secondary materials on more than one hundred historic communes and several hundred collective, cooperative and co-housing communities founded since 1965. The Center For Communal Studies offers unmatched resources for sociologists, anthropologists, economists and others, including active communitarians, interested in the lessons that intentional communities can offer to the larger world. It is an honor to be invited by the Center to screen Hippie Family Values.
